Celebrating 60 Years of Love: Mom and Dad’s Enduring Legacy

Today marks what would have been Mom and Dad’s 60th wedding anniversary. Even though Dad left us 4 years ago, the love they shared continues to inspire and touch our lives every single day.

Mom, I know you’re reading this. The photo you posted brought back a flood of memories – Dad’s infectious laugh, the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled at you, and the unmistakable bond you two shared. It’s a testament to a love that transcends time and even death itself.

Dad, I miss you more than words can say. There’s not a Browns game that goes by where I don’t think of our Sunday rituals – the cheering, the groaning, and those priceless moments of actual real-life victory we celebrated together. LOL.

And fishing? Man, the peace of those early mornings and evenings on the Canadian lakes with you and big brother are something I carry in my heart always.

I like to think you’re up there now, Dad, in the ultimate ballpark in the sky. Maybe you’re teaching the angels how to throw from the hot corner to first base or debating the finer points of why the Cleveland Muni Stadium reigns supreme always and forever.

I know someday we’ll meet again. We’ll cast our lines into celestial waters, cheer for a Browns team that never disappoints (hey, a guy can dream, right?), and share those easy silences that always said more than words ever could.
