πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ CS came to me as the Marketing Director for American Cornhole (ACO) seeking a new consultancy role focusing on business and marketing support but within a company, preferably remote-based.

The resolutions we provided were:

πŸ‘‰ Finding a format that resonates with his new targeted role.

πŸ‘‰ Building up his transferable consultancy, business and marketing support, and organizational improvement skills, methodologies, KPIs, and wins.

πŸ‘‰ Improved messaging so readers know what he was trying to do and what value he can offer.

πŸ‘‰ More skills that are ATS compliant so he can stand out in a highly competitive industry and role.

πŸ‘‰ Elevated experience section so he demonstrated more accomplishments, value offerings, and metrics over tasks.

πŸ‘‰ The proper layout and format (in order) including a Summary, Key Skills/Technical Aptitude, Accomplishments, Experience, Education, Certification/Training, Affiliation, and Volunteerism.

πŸ’₯ Well, it worked!

πŸ’₯ CS sent me this wonderful note out of nowhere, which I just had to share! He is now a women and minority-owned business and marketing consultant with Kings Dream Business Consulting.

“Wow, so I just saw my last message and good lord, I am long-winded. …Your resume you did for me got me a new position! They are sending the contract tomorrow, so not a done deal just yet, but more than likely I’ll be working at Kings Dream Business Consulting out of Seattle (remote) where the concentration is on Women and Minority-owned businesses/marketing consultation. I’m still going to do the cornhole thing for a while too, but the Kings Dream gig is definitely going to be much more personally fulfilling. I want to hold off on saying anything on social media for a while so as not to broadcast to my present job that there is a new job, but I’m also not scared if it came up. Once I know everything is cool I’ll let you know and will be happy to be one of your many testimonials of success. Truly, it was the resume that made the difference. Thanks man!”
