πββοΈ Whitney came to me as a Pharmacy Manager at Publix, seeking a new pharmacist focusing outside of retail. We built 2 resumes for her, one for the “private” sector and the other for the federal space (using the USAJOBS, GS-based template).
The resolutions we provided were:
π Finding a format that resonates with her new targeted role.
π Building up her transferable medical, managerial, patient engagement, and pharmacy skills, methodologies, KPIs, and wins.
π Improved messaging so readers know what she was trying to do and what value she can offer.
π More skills that are ATS compliant so she can stand out in a highly competitive industry and role.
π Elevated experience section so she demonstrated more accomplishments, value offerings, and metrics over tasks.
π The proper layout and format (in order) including a Summary, Key Skills/Technical Aptitude, Accomplishments, Experience, Education, Certification/Training, Affiliation, and Volunteerism.
π₯ Well, it worked!
π₯ Whitney just sent me this wonderful note after requesting a resume update (which is always discounted for current and former clients), which I just had to share! She is now a Clinical Pharmacist with the Naval Medical Center at Camp Lejeune. The federal resume worked its magic! Way to go, Whitney!
“Hey Matt, I wanted to see how much you charge to update my resume. You made my resume back in January and I did get another job at the Naval Hospital thanks, in part, to your federal resume! But I am looking for jobs closer to home now. Let me know! Thank you.”
