💥 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗝𝗼𝗯, 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝟮 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀! 💥
🙋♂️ Stephen came to me as a Nonprofit & Higher Education Development Professional who wanted to focus on a Strategic Marketing & Communications Leadership role.
The resolutions we provided were:
👉 Finding a professional format that resonates with his new targeted, for-profit role.
👉 Building up his marketing and communications leadership skills, methodologies, KPIs, and wins.
👉 Improved messaging so readers know what he was trying to do and what value he can offer.
👉 More skills that are ATS compliant so he can stand out in a highly competitive industry and role.
👉 Elevated experience section so he demonstrated more accomplishments, value offerings, and metrics over tasks.
👉 The proper layout (in order) including a Summary, Key Skills/Technical Aptitude, Accomplishments, Experience, Education, Certification/Training, Affiliation, and Volunteerism.

💥 Stephen sent me this wonderful note, which I just had to share! Stephen is now entering his final interview for a third job at a company he applied to a single with. They liked him so much, they considered him for 3 total jobs! Way to go Stephen!
“Matt, for one of your informational emails, you might call this ‘Being Nimble and Flexible.’
That national non-profit I told you about first had its HR reviewer suggest that I apply for a different position. (The one I applied for had just been filled.)
I gamely went forward and interviewed for this second position, only to have this manager say that she thought I would be an even better fit for a THIRD position! But I could see her point, and she seemed very sincere about the things she liked in my background.
So we’ll see what happens point being: You never know what the prospective employer needs. Be agile and at least consider what they say.”
