“Iβm extremely excited! I just got an email for an initial phone interview for a job in the fishing tackle industry. Fishing is my greatest passion and my goal/dream has been to get a job in the fishing tackle industry. The call Thursday is with the leader in tackle for a product line specialist position. The position deals with new product development and learning/knowing the competitive landscape. My background is in sales but with my upper lever sales positions, I was relied on a lot to give input for future product ideas and improvements to existing products. Under requirements, they mention 1-3 years of product line planning. Although I donβt have that specifically I feel I have done that as part of my role in sales. Iβm hoping you might be able to suggest any good tips/techniques that help make me stand out on the phone interview to move along in the process. I am reading over the job posting and thinking about how my background applies to each point but want to make sure I really wow them. I appreciate any feedback you can provide. Thanks.”
