πββοΈ Tomara came to me as a Program Analyst in North Carolina seeking a new role in Management.
The resolutions we provided were:
π Finding a format that resonates with her new targeted role.
π Building up her operational, project/program, and talent managerial skills, methodologies, KPIs, and wins.
π Improved messaging so readers know what she was trying to do and what value she can offer.
π More skills that are ATS compliant so she can stand out in a highly competitive industry and role.
π Elevated experience section so she demonstrated more accomplishments, value offerings, and metrics over tasks.
π The proper layout and format (in order) including a Summary, Key Skills/Technical Aptitude, Accomplishments, Experience, Education, Certification/Training, Affiliation, and Volunteerism.
π₯ Well, it worked!
π₯ Tomara sent me this wonderful note, which I just had to share! She now has 2 offers, one with Duke University and the other with Drive Shack! Way to go Tomara!
“Hey, Matt! I just wanted to let you know, on Wednesday I was notified I’m the final candidate for the job at Duke University! They are calling references today and waiting to get a salary from HR so she can make the official offer early next week. HR bases salary offers your resume and experience so I’m feeling hopeful that my new resume will get me more money! I already had an interview scheduled for yesterday too, so I still took that. It was for an Event Sales Manager with Drive Shack. It was short and sweet, they want me to meet with the General Manager when he gets back in town next week. Once I get my final offer from Duke I plan to communicate that with Drive Shack. Anyways, thanks for everything you did for me! I’ll keep you posted!”
