I was a recruiter. I was there, in that scenario near year’s end. I lived it.
And trust me, we still had to, you know, work. It wasn’t fantasy lineups and online shopping.
It was advertising open requisitions.
Sourcing.
Pre-screening.
Vetting.
Arranging interviews (some even arranged now for January, once the hiring panel is back from vacation).
Conducting background checks.
Negotiating salaries.
Onboarding new hires.
Sure, maybe some hiring managers officially offered a letter after January, but we still had to get to that point.
