I’ve been a cryptocurrency investor for a few years now.
I got in at ₿itcoin when it was at $18K, although I did sell shortly thereafter 🤦
To me, I love the idea of investing in companies focusing on implementing disruptive technology.
Companies leveraging the blockchain to help thrust us into the Web3.
I want to invest in those companies. So, thus, why I’ll spend some extra investment dollars on cryptocurrency.
Up until now, I’ve only used crypto platforms to purchase crypto, altcoins, and NFTs.
Until I went into my dealership to get the check engine light looked at and ran into my car salesperson, friend, and bowling team partner, Ben.
After chatting it up about the regular life updates, we got into talking about web3, and anything and everything alternative investments.
We both got giddy about it, typical behavior from people like us LOL.
He then went on to ask if I was still doing resumes.
“Of course,” I said.
“Well, my sister’s about to graduate and needs a new resume. She’s an artist who wants to get into teaching. Her current resume isn’t tailored for teaching roles,” Ben asked.
“I can help. I’ve helped thousands of people in my almost 20-year tenure,” I replied.
“Sweet. Let’s do it. I’ll buy it for her. Let’s use some crypto to complete the transaction.”
“Heck yes! I’ll send you my Voyager platform’s blockchain address for executing the Bitcoin transaction.”
💰And just like that, my first cryptocurrency transaction for MJW Careers went through without a hitch.
🤝 If you need some help and want to exchange services for Bitcoin or Solana, let me know! It was actually quite thrilling, LOL.
🤔 What are your thoughts or worries about cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, or altcoins like Bitcoin? Early adoption or just a fad?
Also, some tips I learned when researching the right companies to invest in:
1. Read the company’s white paper – what problem are they trying to solve? how are they going to solve it? who’s the team doing it?
2. Check circulating supply (how many coins available) and market cap (value of crypto as a whole) – want a low circulating supply and low market cap
3. Check social media – if people like it and are buying it, that’s positive
