The EMPLOYEE rushes into the UPPER MANAGER’s office, carrying a Notebook.
Employee: “Sir, check this out!”
Employee hands the Notebook to the Senior Manager.
Senior Manager: “What is it?”
Employee: “It’s called…the Internet web.”
Senior Manager: “Who has time to look at this?”
Employee: “Sir, it’s the future. We need to move our products onto this Internet web.”
Senior Manager: “Please leave now. I’m busy figuring out next month’s parking lot sales. These CD players ๐ข๐ณ๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ ๐ง๐ถ๐ต๐ถ๐ณ๐ฆ.”
๐ This should never happen, if managers would sometimes look at their employees as equal rather than inferior, it would make a much more harmonious work environment full of:
โ Collaboration
โ Progressive idea sharing
โ Continuous process improvement
โ Growth and advancement opportunities
โ Long-term goal attainment
๐ฟ And on a sad note, Fry’s Electronics was in the news this week for going bankrupt.
