❌ Employers That Blatantly Want to Underpay Suck ❌
🤝As a former recruiter, I collaborated with HR all the time to figure out pay grades, pay scales, hourly rates, etc.
👉And about all of them always had a strict budget to comply with.
👉 You know who could care less about the budget when they found the candidate they wanted? Hiring Managers.
👉 But you cannot just pay whatever you think the candidate deserves. You must be calculated, but fair.
🧳 But this God-awful job advertisement just screams unequal pay.
🧳 I get it, having a graduate degree doesn’t necessarily equal more pay, nor more opportunities.
🧳 Sometimes the onus falls on the job seeker’s strategy and key marketing documents.
🧩 But have a freakin’ clue. Trying to hire someone who just spent $100K on school shouldn’t be lured into a job trying to pay you a somewhat entry-level rate.
❌ That shouldn’t be the case. Do better.
❌ This does not make for a sound work environment.
❌ Hiring shouldn’t be about who’s the most desperate and willing to take the job.
👉 This starts with the job description.
👉 As you can see, this picture says it all. Let’s find someone who will practically pay us to work here.
