Billboards with your resume on it 📊. Putting your resume on windshields at your local grocer 🛒. Sending the hiring manager a coffee cup ☕️ and $5 coffee card 💳 with a note stating, “Let’s get together to talk about the job position over coffee. I’ll be calling soon.” 📬 Send it via USPS registered two-day delivery 📮. After they sign for it, call in 20 minutes 📞. Bringing donuts every Friday to the office 🍩. Standing on the corner with a sandwich board that presents your credentials or career summary 📋.

These my friends, are what we call guerilla marketing 🦍. This form of creative marketing applies to any product, but in this case, we’re discussing it as it applies to the job search 🕵️‍♂️.

As competition grows in this odd, post-pandemic economy, guerilla marketing is a new alternative 🌟. Just make sure the company culture accepts your methods, so they think you are clever and not crazy! Think of original ways to market yourself in a creative manner 🎨. You can get the job you want by not doing what everyone else is doing! Stand out! 💥

Marta Puerto went the extra mile to produce a comedic narrative about her credentials as a product marketing manager 🎬.
