The ACCOUNTANT rushes into HENRY FORD’s office, holding a stack of papers.
ACCOUNTANT – “Mr. Ford, sir, here are all of the employees set to receive bonuses this year.”
FORD – “Very good. Also, I want to raise the #minimumwage to $5 per day.”
The Accountant looks down above his glasses to check his notes.
ACCOUNTANT – “Uhhh, come again? Are you feeling OK today, sir?”
FORD – “Of course, I feel better than OK, I’m great! And while we’re at it, reduce the workday from 9 hours to 8, let these hardworking folks get home sooner to see their families.”
ACCOUNTANT – “OK sir, but aren’t you afraid of losing money?”
FORD – “I’m afraid of losing talent. The money will come and go, but I want Ford to be a place where the people stay their entire lives.”
The Accountant wipes tears away from his eyes.
FORD – “That will be all. Enjoy your Monday.”
