💡The single best piece of advice I could say to #jobseekers is to make sure they demonstrate their value offerings as they relate to the targeted role both in their messaging and resume.
🎣 Once they’ve hooked the decision-makers into an interview, ensure they have those narratives and key wins ready to share so the interview will go much more seamless.
✅ Think about how you can convey your abilities to not only handle the tasks on the job description but also show proof through real-world, hands-on examples of cause and effect.
👉 “𝙷𝚎𝚢 𝙸 𝚌𝚊𝚗 𝚍𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝. 𝙸𝚗 𝚏𝚊𝚌𝚝 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎’𝚜 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝙸 𝚍𝚒𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚜𝚊𝚖𝚎 𝚎𝚡𝚊𝚌𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚗 𝚖𝚢 𝚕𝚊𝚜𝚝 𝚛𝚘𝚕𝚎, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚘𝚞𝚝𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎.”
✅ Think operationally and achievements.
✅ Think about how you can make their life easier and how you can resolve their pain points due to the open requisition.
🤔 Boiling it down, think about your situation from the hiring manager’s POV.
🤪 He/she has to be pulled aside from their day-to-day to review resumes and fill the opening.
💸 An open requisition that is either costing them money or not making them money by leaving it vacant.
🔎 When they find an ideal candidate, sometimes it’s more of a cultural or personality fit if they know they can train someone rather quickly.
🙏 So trust that if it’s supposed to happen, it will. If not, keep looking for opportunities in this new space.
