Hot Take: We Aren’t Built for Job Hunting

And I stand by it.

Why? Because job hunting is an unnatural process. It forces you to shrink complex, valuable experiences into bullet points and elevator pitches. It makes great workers second-guess themselves. 4. Ask a trusted peer to roleplay an interview and point out blind spots in your answers.

5. Block 1 hour each week to apply, network, and follow up — treat it like a business meeting.
