The RECRUITER runs into the MANAGER’s office, holding a flyer.
Recruiter – “Sir, I’m holding the papers of the very first order of cola bottles at Biedenharn Candy Company in Vicksburg, Mississippi!”
Manager – “Fantastic news! We’re on our way!”
Recruiter – “Shall I focus on finding the right talent to help us with the new bottling franchising and distribution plan?”
Manager – “Not yet, we cannot afford to pay people to sit around, let’s wait until we’re ready!”
Recruiter – “But sir–”
Manager interrupts, holding a Hershey bar.
Manager – “Can’t you see I’m indulging in this new candy out of Pennsylvania? It just came out and it’s delicious.”
Recruiter – “Ooh, allow me a taste.”
Manager – “Pull up a seat, let’s rest on our laurels for the day.”
#Recruiter bellies up and takes a bite. They share a laugh with chocolate mouths.
๐ซYeah, no. This should never happen. NEVER wait until it “time” to do anything.
โ Be proactive.
โ Be prepared.
โ Be strategic.
๐ฅคThis principle should be adopted throughout every phase of your professional (and personal) life. Including, your resume.
What are you waiting to do until later?
