It’s Take Your Kid to Work Day: A Day of Learning and Laughter at GNW Development! 🏡👨‍👦

Some of you may know I am also a real estate investor. My business partner and I started Sell My House As Is Wilmington under the umbrella company, GNW Development.

At GNW Development, we believe in family, fun, and hands-on learning! That’s why this year’s “Take Your Kid to Work Day” was extra special as I got to bring my son, Gus, along for the ride. 🚗💼

Gus was all geared up to join me and my business partner, Geoff, on the job, and let’s just say he brought a whole new level of energy to the day! From the moment we arrived at the property, Gus was ready to dive in and help us out. Here’s a little peek into our day:

1. Property Walkthrough 🏠🔍
Gus took his role seriously as we walked around the property, checking for any maintenance needs. He even pointed out a loose shingle on the roof—looks like we have a future inspector on our hands! 🕵️‍♂️

2. Learning the Ropes 🎓🛠️
Geoff and I showed Gus how we evaluate properties, from checking the foundation to looking at potential renovation opportunities. Gus was fascinated by the tools and gadgets we use—especially the outlet detector! 📏

3. A Little Playtime Never Hurt Anyone 🎈⚽
Of course, it wasn’t all work and no play! We took a break to kick around a soccer ball in the backyard. Because what’s a day at work without a little fun? 😄

4. The Final Review 📝🔍
At the end of the day, we sat down together to review our findings. Gus had some great insights—he’s definitely got the real estate bug! 🐛

5. The HUD Stop🏠
We wrapped up the day by taking a visit to the Columbus County Housing Authority to inquire about some potential future residents!

Finally, with high-fives all around and a promise to make this a new tradition, we would say Take Your Kid to Work Day was a hit, and we can’t wait to do it again in the fall. Until then, we’ll keep building, learning, and growing—together as a family. 🛠️👨‍👦‍👦
