People interested in the field often confuse the two most common types of nurses: licensed practical nurses and registered nurses.

Specifically, Warzel points out that according to theย U.S. Bureau of Labor Statisticsย (BLS), employment of LPNs is projected to grow by 12% from 2018 to 2028. This is faster than the national average for all occupations.
Warzel further states that according to theย BLS, in 2020, there were more than 3 million job openings for RNs and 688,000 openings for LPNs. And this is only expected to grow.
