🙌 I was honored by a colleague, Bob McIntosh, for inclusion in his article about how to get LinkedIn users to see your recommendations!
🙋♂️The thing about recommendations on LinkedIn — they tend to get lost in the shuffle.
⚰️Buried well below all the relevant sections one, as a recruiter, would consider if they were sourcing a prospective candidate for an open role.
🥺And therein lies the identity problem LinkedIn has — is it for small business or B2C sales? Is it for recruiters? Is it for job seekers as a way to present a digital resume?
🤷♂️ I guess that is on the owner of his or her respective profile. Do what you can in the limits you have on this platform.
🏖️ After all, it’s LinkedIn’s sandbox we all play in at the moment, so they don’t have to tell you what they want their brand envisioned as.
💸 And as a PS, if you caught Microsoft’s earnings last week, the proof is in the pudding. LinkedIn topped $3B with a “B” in ad revenue last year. They’re outpacing Snap and Pinterest combined.
