π§ This can lead to the Affect Heuristic, or mental shortcut where people rely on their immediate, gut-feeling emotional responses (affect) rather than careful, rational analysis to make quick decisions, especially regarding risks and benefits.
People make decisions based on how something felt, not how logical it was.
Positive feelings lead to underestimating risks and overestimating benefits, while negative feelings do the opposite, influencing judgments about everything from investments to social choices. This “going with your gut” approach saves time but can result in poor decisions by ignoring important facts, like judging an activity as safe just because you enjoy it.
You answered correctly.
But you didnβt create emotional ease.
