A client recently messaged me with the attached message and had me giggling at first.
Then, I took a step back. I realized something. Here it was. Here was a message that felt a little different than most returning clients needing a tune-up.
This was a customer telling me, I made magic happen. I got her a job because of the words I wrote.
Because of the daily grind and keep-up with resume writing trends.
Because of the hours spent on my craft, writing not just resumes, but a marketing tool for my clients.
Because of the sacrifices I made to work hard and ensure my clients meet “that look” recruiters can identify during the 6-second eye test.
I made my life about selling solutions to my clients.
About experiencing the full job hunting life cycle on both sides of the table to learn first-hand what matters.
About offering value. From the resume through salary negotiations. It’s important to understand you need a job-hunting mission. A game plan. Something to make you a fitting job seeker, not just a spray-and-pray candidate.
