New Career Ideas For The Unemployed

Unemployed? Give these career paths a try! What are your career path suggestions for the unemployed?

1. Resume Writer! Hey that’s me! Interestingly enough, I began as an HR recruiter, which is a fantastic entry into the HR world. I’ve got friends that succeeded into HR management (and everything in between) after initiating as a recruiter as well.

2. HVAC Technician. You cannot outsource this job, and there’s plenty of commercial opportunities to even enable sif-figure potential (i.e., chiller mechanics). I recruited these individuals for almost 3 years in LA for Johnson Controls. Some HVAC mechanics made over $150K annually.

3. Hair and/or Makeup Artist. Another job you simply cannot outsource. Depending on your passion, you could pursue this on numerous avenues including weddings, salon, movies/television/commercials, live events, celebrity clients, and even corporate clients. It’s best to get a license and complete cosmetology education first, and doing some free projects to get your feet wet.
