Question on LinkedIn: How often do you put aside the resume when interviewing?
Others’ Response:
– Lately, I find myself putting down resumes when interviewing candidates. I am really trying to focus on behavioral style interviewing and assessing culture fit, and I find that the resume sometimes gets in the way and is just a distraction. I used to laugh when I read about recruiters who don’t interview with resumes in hand, but I think I am slowly turning into one.
My Take:
Get through the resume’s red flags and then move onto some fun stuff without the resume.
