Recruiter Asks About Your Most Famous Flop (Interview Preparation)

💡🧐 I recently learned that during an interview, some recruiters will 🙋 ask the applicant for an example of when something didn’t go as they had planned 🤔

This has a few reasons behind the question including:

🕐 Can they articulate the situation without getting flustered or defensive?

🕑 Were there self-reflection and/or learnings to be taken away from the situation?

🕒 Did the applicant adjust how they did it the next time (if there was a next time) and/or apply it to other situations in the future?

❌ DO NOT list your failures on your resume or any online platform.

✅ DO be prepared for this question so you are not forced to improvise.
