❌ Rejection sucks. No one likes the feeling of being denied. Of lacking the talents required. Of being stuck.

🎭 As a part-time actor, rejection kinda grew on me. I’ve must’ve had 300+ auditions in my lifetime and landed only about 50 gigs. That’s a dismal 16%.

πŸ“Ί But you know what? Out of every role cast in a movie or show, there are 2,000 auditions. 200 actors are lucky enough to be brought into the 2nd round of the audition. 3 actors get to be seen by the director. 1 gets cast. When you put it into perspective, 16% ain’t bad, right?

😞 But still, the residual effects of rejection can linger. It just doesn’t “bother” me anymore. Sure I sometimes want to give up. Sometimes I let the anxiety seep through. Rejection can breed anxiety.

β˜‘οΈ But you know what I learned? Forget those rejected moments. Remember the victories, even as slight as they may seem sometimes. This holds true in both the personal and professional lives we lead.

βœ… Again — FORGET. THOSE. REJECTED. MOMENTS, and move on!

πŸ—ΊοΈ Make your own way. Make your own victories. Make your own happiness.

πŸ˜ƒ Be happy, you deserve it.

πŸ™ Stay safe friends and be well.

(also a picture of my first headshot, look at that kid, LOL!)
