The Imperfect Path That Led Me to Help Jobseekers Like You

This is exactly why sometimes ChatGPT won’t cut it with resume writing, and you need to trust an authority like myself who’s been doing this for 20 years while maintaining knowledge of ever-evolving trends in various industries of my clients.

Now my own career journey wasn’t a straight line. I’ve faced setbacks, mistakes, and lessons along the way — but each challenge shaped me into the career coach I am today.

Back in the early 2010s, while working at LiveCareer, I thought I knew resumes well. That was until I met my mentor, Joelle Silva. Joelle taught me the importance of staying grounded when writing resumes. She taught me that resumes aren’t about being flashy, ambiguous or quirky — they’re about clear, honest communication. She showed me how to write in a way that helps busy recruiters and hiring managers, and ATS robots understand your true value. No fancy language, just business-minded clarity. 💼

Sadly, Joelle passed away in 2016, but I was lucky enough to thank her for her guidance, and tell her just how grateful she was to guide me along into being a superior resume writer using her principles of refining the resume the right way and commanding the English language properly so our clients can not only trust that we’re doing this properly, but to actually realize results in the form of interviews and jobs.

Her principles still guide my work today, and I’m proud to pass them on to you. And it’s why I’m so passionate about helping others navigate the very real struggles of finding the right job. I’ve been there. I’ve stumbled, I’ve faced setbacks, and I’ve learned from mistakes. And I know what it feels like to question your worth when things aren’t going your way.🌱
