The Minimalist Mindset + Top Comedies Of All Time

That’s how recruiters remember you in 6 seconds.
Less = memorable.
Less = confident.
Less = hired. 💼

And speaking of being memorable while brief in conversation, how about screenwriters?! They have to make sure every single word in a “good” screenplay moves the story forward, is interesting, and memorable! That’s tough work! I used to write comedy movies and it’s fun but exhausting lol.

What got my creative juices flowing again today with the movie biz? Because Variety just dropped their list of the top 100 comedy movies of all time. Now I am bias as I personally think the 80s SNL greats like Aykroyd, Ramis, Martin, Murray and Chase are some of the Mount Rushmore of movie actors, but here we go nonetheless…

So my top 25 are as follows because a top 10 was too hard:

1. (1989) Major League
2. (1983) National Lampoon’s Vacation
3. (1988) Coming to America
4. (1995) Tommy Boy
5. (1988) Naked Gun
6. (1998) Wedding Singer
7. (1994) Ace Ventura
8. (1984) Ghostbusters
9. (1985) Police Academy 2
10. (1996) Happy Gilmore
11. (1980) Airplane
12. (1988) The Great Outdoors
13. (2005) Wedding Crashers
14. (1987) Spaceballs
15. (1999) Big Daddy
16. (1994) Dumb and Dumber
17. (1983) A Christmas Story
18. (1980) Blues Brothers
19. (1978) Animal House
20. (1992) Wayne’s World
21. (1997) Austin Powers
22. (2003) Old School
23. (2001) Super Troopers
24. (1999) American Pie
25. (1996) Kingpin
