Upskilling. When it comes down to brass tacks…hiring teams typically look for those candidates who can ease themselves into the role without much disruption or training delays. Having said that, do go out and identify roles you’d like to be in someday, list out all of the mandatory skills (hard, soft, technical, methodologies), and find ways to acquire those skills (we call it upskilling) to make you a more competitive candidate with actual value worth paying someday. Not to say some hiring managers will take a chance on a greener candidates with probably less bad habits, but those are few and far between. Keep rockin’ it though because you have to start somewhere to get somewhere. #careeradvice #careercoach #resumewriter #resumewriting
