Because here’s something people forget about LinkedIn:

Most people looking at your profile will NEVER tell you they’re looking.

Recruiters are looking.

Hiring managers are looking.

Former colleagues are looking.

Potential clients are looking.

And sometimes they’re watching for weeks or months before they ever reach out.

That’s why your LinkedIn profile can’t just be your resume copied and pasted online.

It needs to POSITION you.

Your headline should tell people where you bring value.

Your About section should actually sound like you.

Your experience should focus on accomplishments, not job duties.

And your activity should reinforce what you want to be known for.

Then?

Show up.

Share something useful.

Comment on industry conversations.

Talk about lessons you’ve learned.

Celebrate other people’s wins.

Have an opinion.

You don’t need to become a LinkedIn influencer.

You just need to give the RIGHT people enough reasons to remember you.

Because one of my favorite messages starts something like this:

“Hey Matt, I’ve been following you for a while…”

BOOM. 💥

That “lurker” just became a conversation.

And conversations can become interviews, referrals, clients, partnerships, and opportunities.
